The San Joaquin Valley River Club

The Entrance

Almost forgot about this sign

Approaching the Club House

Here we are

Backside of clubhouse. a little ahead of the kid on the bike in my youth i.e 8 or so, on the forth of july the club would build a large pile of sand and in the sand there would be coins and paper money ( those years meant silver only if I knew at that time)

Picnic area to the left of clubhouse just before the swimming area.

again the club would host pie eating, corn husking and watermelon eating contest. those were fun times. great memories.

the swim area, they really let it get out of hand they wasn't any weeds growing in the years we went there, there use to be a pier that went over and into the water. I think it was seven feet high at the water's edge. I recall my older sister doing a skit of some walkie talkie thing going up to the end and back a few times cause it was kind of long of a

I remember they use to pile a big mound of sand and put a bunch of money in it for us kids to go crazy in finding as much as we could.

there use to be a pier here that my big Sister Karen, do some walky talky dance on until she would fall off the end into the water. oh such good times.

our swim lake, back in the day there was a stationary dock with a diving board we use to do jumps off of.

A little Island we use to walk out to and sink our feet into the bottom in the black river mud, more memories.

You can see an archway to the right the made a land bridge to the little Island on the left

I think you can figure this one out :)

There was a bunch of campers that day I was there taking pics
